Position Title: Business Development Director

We are expanding our footprint in key international markets while maintaining a strong presence in the UK luxury retail sector.
About the Role
The role will be responsible for ensuring that Roja Parfums is at the forefront of luxury fragrance across its global markets, currently UK, Europe, Americas, Middle East, China. We are looking for an unstoppable pioneer, an inspiring leader and a formidable Sales/Commercial Director tasked with the extraordinary opportunity of managing and developing our existing retail partners, while identifying new opportunities for the acceleration of our brand around the world.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Global Sales Strategy Development and Execution
- Ensure annual planning and implementation of agreed strategy.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align the sales strategy with the brand's vision, positioning, and long-term objectives.
- Monitor global market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to inform strategic decision-making.
- Lead global sales conference bi yearly.
- Full budget responsibility and control for direct to market retail P&L and wholesale accounts profitability.
- Identify, negotiate, and establish close and productive relationships with distributor and retail partners across key global markets, including UK, Europe, Americas, Asia and the Middle East.
- Define and deliver the commercial vision and sales strategy for each partner.
- Oversee regular performance reviews and ensure that defined brand standards and store/distributor productivity / profitability is achieved.
- Ensure partners receive training, support, and guidance to enhance brand knowledge and sales performance.
- Lead the effective delivery of e-commerce channel.
- Manage and mentor a global sales team, providing leadership, guidance, and professional development.
- Work closely with Marketing to ensure marketing plan, brand guidelines, VM and new launches are implemented cross channels.
- Work collaboratively with operational teams (finance, supply chain) to ensure seamless execution of brand and sales initiatives and operational efficiencies.
- Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and customer focus within the global sales team.
- Establish and track KPIs, sales forecasts, and budgets across all markets, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Regularly assess sales performance, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Provide strategic recommendations and updates to senior management regarding sales performance and market trends.
5.Brand Positioning & Market Expansion
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across all global markets, preserving the exclusivity and luxury appeal of the brand.
- Identify and evaluate potential new markets for expansion, conducting in-depth market analysis and competitor research.
- Oversee the launch of new products and collections, ensuring their successful entry into key markets.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in senior sales role/s within the luxury fragrance or beauty industry.
- Strong knowledge of global luxury markets and the ability to adapt strategies to local cultural nuances.
- Strongly analytical and able to assess performance data to a detailed level
- Able to plan as well ensure detailed execution
- Track record of building profitable relationships and delivering new accounts
- Effective communication and negotiation skills – able to build close relationships whilst also being tenacious and holding partners to account for high standards
- Inspiring and able to bring the best out of colleagues to support growth and delivery
- Able to build and lead a team to high levels of performance
