Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research to identify market trends, industry shifts, and emerging opportunities in the retail/grocery/CPG space.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with new and existing clients to build trust and encourage repeat business.
  • Identify and establish partnerships that align with business objectives and open up new revenue streams.
  • Collaborate with other departments (marketing, product, operations) to leverage resources in support of partnership development and maintenance.
  • Maintain an organised and detailed sales pipeline to manage leads and forecast business opportunities.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and product development teams to create cohesive strategies for customer acquisition and retention.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on sales performance, pipeline updates, and revenue growth.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development for technology or SaaS products.
  • Excellent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence clients at all levels.
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales reporting.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events (if applicable).
  • Bilingual or multilingual candidates are strongly preferred, particularly those fluent in European language.
  • Good understanding of the UK grocery/retail/CPG markets is a huge plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
