The Role
As a Business Development Manager at Agria, you'll play a key role in supporting our partners to successfully implement our products and services. You'll work closely with each partner to develop effective growth strategies. This role focuses on assisting existing partners through every stage of our growth process—from introduction and training to ongoing support and customer service—while also recruiting new partners within the assigned territory.
Collaboration is essential, working alongside partner businesses to achieve shared growth goals. The BDM works with both new and existing partners to maximize activations, recruit, and onboard new business opportunities.
This role involves diverse daily activities, requiring excellent communication skills and relationship-building abilities at all levels.
Experience within the UK vet sector/animal world is essential. As this role is field-based, extensive travel across Scotland is required.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing existing partner relationships to enhance their understanding of our products and increase advocacy and promotion.
- Recruiting new partners and positioning our products effectively to their customer base.
- Territory planning and prioritizing sales activities to meet targets.
- Managing appointments and travel efficiently, aligned with KPIs and sustainability commitments.
- Staying updated on market trends and reporting on pet insurance activity.
- Participating in training for continuous professional development.
- Supporting marketing campaigns and attending trade shows and events.
- Training partners to maximize product understanding and ensure FCA compliance.
- Ensuring data protection and FCA standards are met.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in the UK vet sector is essential.
- Proven field sales experience with a track record of meeting targets.
- Knowledge of pet health and welfare terminology.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Industry knowledge and network, including competitors and pet organizations.
- Experience in growing customer portfolios and generating new business in B2B, B2C, and B2B2C environments.
- Excellent self-management and team skills, including planning and resilience.
- Flexibility regarding working hours.
