Synopsis: The Sales Recruitment Network is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager with a Steel Stock Holding / Process background and a verifiable track record of sales success in Power, Engineering, Oil, Gas, Petrochem, and Process Industries. The role offers a negotiable base salary plus bonus and executive benefits. The position is based in Belfast or the surrounding area, covering Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Job Title: BDM Steel / Process Piping

Location: Northern Ireland. The role involves working from home, with travel to Manchester or Sheffield initially, then as required.

Brief Job Description: Our client has invested in state-of-the-art plate processing equipment and maintains the UK's most extensive stocks of reversing mill plate, along with structural sections, either fully processed or stock lengths. They seek an experienced Business Development professional to join on a hybrid basis, covering sales into Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

The ideal candidate will have experience in steel stockholding and processing, with the drive to grow sales within the steel industry. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify decision makers of new clients via direct communication (phone, email, networking).
• Develop and maintain relationships to expand sales.
• Promote products and value-added services to targeted industry sectors.
• Respond to inquiries with accurate presentations, reports, and quotations promptly.
• Meet commercial targets.
• Coordinate with the Commercial Director and product leads on customer issues and opportunities.
• Use databases to provide stock availability information.
• Ensure accounts stay within credit limits.
• Maintain accurate customer databases and statistics.

Candidate Requirements:

• Knowledge of steel plate, processing, and structural sections is essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills internally and externally.
