Hybrid Work Model
We embrace a remote-first work model with flexibility and autonomy, complemented by occasional in-person days. For team members within 50 km/31 miles of our five global offices in Ottawa, Eldoret, Penang, Columbus, and Amsterdam, you can expect to come into the office one day a week. Those near our co-working spaces in Nairobi and Toronto are encouraged to work onsite once a month.
Job Description
Reporting to the Manager, Business Development, the Business Development Representative directly impacts Assent’s growth by fueling our go-to-market engine, engaging top compliance leaders, and generating quality pipeline for the business. In this role, you will focus on prospecting into our target audience, engaging our ideal buyers through tailored messaging, and setting qualified meetings and opportunities that convert into annual recurring revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage all available marketing resources and advanced sales development tactics to generate highly qualified meetings from target accounts within relevant industries
- Drive net new and expansion pipeline growth by scheduling qualified meetings
- Identify and engage with ideal prospects from target accounts
- Execute our GTM strategy through methodical and targeted messaging
- Deliver tailored messaging for emails, social messages, engaging videos, and phone conversations
- Optimize utilization of the tech stack and internal resources
- Follow prescribed workflows, processes, and ROEs
- Complete daily outreach tasks efficiently and effectively across a variety of channels
- Qualify and manage inbound lead flow for allocated accounts
- Meet or exceed monthly targets
- Expand knowledge and skills by absorbing best practices and staying current on Assent’s product knowledge, industry trends, and competitive intel
- Engage in onboarding, reinforcement, and advanced training as you move up through the BDR Level Program
- Participate in weekly meetings and articulate market feedback
- Follow guidance set out by corporate security policies and standards
- Ensure departmental security processes and procedures are followed where applicable
- Be familiar with corporate security policies and follow the guidance set out by processes and procedures of Assent
Qualifications
- Native German Speaker and fluency in English (verbal and written)
- You have a strong work ethic — you are self-motivated, dedicated, and committed to high performance in your role
- Excellent time management and organizational skills — ability to manage a multitude of tasks efficiently and effectively
- You are highly adaptable, flexible and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
