Business Intelligence Developer, Wealth Management Europe

We are seeking a dynamic and driven individual to become a part of our Business Intelligence Team within the AI & Analytics RBC WME department. This individual will play a pivotal role developing our BI capability to the highest industry standards and lead the way within the analytics space. This team is currently at a key stage in our mission to empower RBC with the insights necessary for our organizational growth.

RBC’s expectation is that from mid-September 2025, all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.

What will you do?

  • Liaise with technical and non-technical people to identify key performance indicators and deliver BI solutions.
  • Liaise with Data Engineers, Architects, and the rest of the team to deliver Power BI reports according to the data strategy.
  • Apply templates and standards process to deliver BI solutions with interactive and visually appealing visualizations.
  • Apply security and governance within Power BI deliverables.
  • Ensure data sources are not duplicated by the creation of new BI dashboards unless necessary.
  • Use SQL and/or Python to query/ingest data into the report on complex transformations.
  • Apply logic to create calculations and customise charts with the relevant programming language.
  • Deploy dashboards through different nonproduction environments using CI/CD.
  • Keep the team and the stakeholders up to date on progress or blockers and present deliverables in demos.
  • Be responsible for the delivery of features allocated to them in the backlog.
  • Attend relevant team meetings and contribute to the team agile methodology.

Requirements

Must-have

  • Degree level qualification and/or proven experience.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Keen to learn and keep up to date on the latest BI technologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud concepts and Power BI Architecture.

Nice-to-have

  • Proven experience using SQL, Python and DAX.
