Job Overview
Activate Learning is looking for a part-time Business Teacher to join our Academic Studies teaching team at City of Oxford College campus.
We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic and passionate individuals with the ability to inspire, so that our Business students have a memorable learning experience. You will plan and deliver purposeful practical and theory lessons, including Level 1 BTEC courses and T Level Business courses, and contribute to curriculum development that meets changing industry demands.
Our Academic and Professional Studies department has an excellent record of delivering vocational Business courses with employability embedded at their heart through strong industry relationships and a team of experts with extensive professional experience.
This is a permanent, part-time (0.65 FTE) role working 3 days a week (24 hours per week) based at City of Oxford College campus.
What you need to be successful
We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure they leave with professional qualifications and the attributes to progress in the world of work. A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is a requirement.
Whilst previous teaching experience or qualification would be an advantage, it is not a requirement. If you have the qualifications or experience to teach on our Business courses and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.
- Experience of working in any business-related sector
- Educated to a degree level
- Desirable to have a teaching qualification and experience in education, but not essential
Your communication and interpersonal skills should be outstanding to deliver interesting and purposeful lessons to a diverse range of learners. You will have strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads, and you will benefit from being part of a supportive team with opportunities for career development.
