About the role

This role as a Buyer for Waitrose & Partners (Level 7) involves working in a Category Pod with responsibilities including collaboration, supporting KPIs, and influencing stakeholders.

This is a permanent role, with potential for a fixed-term or secondment opportunity, reporting to a Senior Buyer in the Meat and Fish team.

At a Glance

• Salary: up to £55,000, depending on experience
• Contract: Permanent and fixed-term (secondment) positions available
• Working pattern: Hybrid approach, approximately 3 days in the office at Bracknell Head Office

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and report on commercial performance and KPIs
• Prepare and negotiate annual terms
• Manage costs and forecast financials accurately
• Operate within legal and ethical standards, negotiate business terms
• Manage both branded and own-label assortments

Essential Skills/Experience

• Experience as an Assistant or Junior Buyer or similar
• Data analysis for strategic decisions
• Continuous improvement and performance management skills
• Cross-boundary collaboration skills
• Ability to empower others
