About the role

This role as a Buyer for Waitrose & Partners (Level 7) involves working in a Category Pod with responsibilities including collaboration, supporting KPIs, and influencing stakeholders.
This is a permanent role, with potential for a fixed-term or secondment opportunity, reporting to a Senior Buyer in the Meat and Fish team.
At a Glance
- Salary: up to £55,000, depending on experience
- Contract: Permanent and fixed-term (secondment) positions available
- Working pattern: Hybrid approach, approximately 3 days in the office at Bracknell Head Office
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and report on commercial performance and KPIs
- Prepare and negotiate annual terms
- Manage costs and forecast financials accurately
- Operate within legal and ethical standards, negotiate business terms
- Manage both branded and own-label assortments
Essential Skills/Experience
- Experience as an Assistant or Junior Buyer or similar
- Data analysis for strategic decisions
- Continuous improvement and performance management skills
- Cross-boundary collaboration skills
- Ability to empower others
