The Role:
Are you passionate about storytelling, technical content, and the built environment? ICE is looking for a Knowledge Editorial Specialist to join our team. You will research, write, commission, and edit high-quality content across digital, print, podcast, and video formats—bringing civil engineering expertise to life in an accessible and engaging way.
This is a unique opportunity to work with leading experts and thought leaders, shaping the future of infrastructure knowledge in the UK and globally, ensuring we are establishing and maintaining good relationships with our network of high-level civil engineering and built environment experts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create compelling content: news stories, blogs, longform features, reports, CPD explainers, scripts, infographics, .
- Collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, and freelancers to deliver accurate, engaging, and timely editorial projects.
- Support ICE’s knowledge programmes with marketing content and campaign copy.
- Coordinate multimedia content for events, podcasts, and workshops.
- Ensure editorial excellence through research, fact-checking, proofreading, and stakeholder engagement.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven editorial experience, ideally in engineering, construction, or infrastructure.
- Strong writing and editing skills across technical, non-technical, and marketing content.
- Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging formats.
- Experience with CMS platforms and collaborative tools (e.g., SharePoint, OneDrive).
- A passion for civil engineering and its role in shaping sustainable infrastructure.
- Articulate and professional - able to communicate clearly and positively with staff, freelance authors, designers, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications :
- Possess a relevant degree level or equivalent experience
