BRAND NEW CABLING ENGINEER OPPORTUNITY - UK WIDE - FIELD BASED

• 140.00 to 150.00 a day - Contract Position
• Ongoing projects across the UK
• Structured cabling installation, termination & testing
• Field-based with travel to client sites required

ABOUT THE CLIENT:

Our client is a highly regarded infrastructure and technology contractor delivering structured cabling and networking solutions across a range of commercial and industrial environments. With projects spanning offices, factories, and large-scale facilities nationwide, they're known for precision, quality, and a commitment to meeting industry standards.

Due to continued project growth, they're now seeking experienced Data Cabling Engineers to join them on a subcontract basis, with flexible, ongoing work across multiple UK sites.

DATA CABLING ENGINEER ROLE:

As a Data Cabling Engineer, you'll be responsible for the installation, termination, and testing of structured cabling systems, including CAT5, CAT6, CAT6A, and CAT7, across a range of client sites. You'll also install containment systems such as tray, trunking, and conduit, and be involved in fibre optic splicing and patching.

Your work will be critical in ensuring cabling infrastructure is delivered neatly, accurately, and in full compliance with client expectations and industry standards.

KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience with CAT5-CAT7 cable installation and testing
• Fibre optic installation and splicing knowledge
• Able to conduct site surveys and plan cabling routes
• Installation of trays, trunking, conduit, and containment
• ECS card (required)
• IPAF certification (required)
• Asbestos Awareness (required)
• Comfortable working at height
• Full PPE, own tools, and vehicle essential
• Full UK driving licence
