Overview

CAD Designers (Civil & Structural) – Hybrid, Manchester. Contract role – £43ph. Work on the UK's flagship Carbon Capture Project (BP Net Zero Teesside).

Are you a CAD Designer with E3D expertise and a knack for bringing structural steel and reinforced concrete designs to life? We are looking for 6 designers to join the Civil & Structural Engineering discipline in Manchester, working on the BP NZT project – one of the UK's most ambitious net zero initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver AVEVA E3D & CAD design outputs, from 3D models to detailed drawings and sketches.
• Design for structural steel, reinforced concrete, drainage, ducting, foundations, and temporary/permanent works.
• Work closely with BIM teams, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure designs are clear, compliant, and buildable.
• Support and mentor junior team members while driving process improvements within the CAD function.
• Collaborate across disciplines and attend site visits, design reviews, and client meetings when required.

What We're Looking For

• Strong E3D experience (essential).
• Proven background in civil & structural design - steelwork and RC detailing.
• Knowledge of UK standards, codes, and design best practice.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and working in a Common Data Environment (ProjectWise).
• Excellent communicator - able to work both independently and as part of a wider team.

Desirable Extras

• Multi-sector experience (Water, Nuclear, O&G, Energy, Highways, Rail, Green Energy).
• EngTech or IEng ICE professional qualification.
