We are looking for a visionary Capability Business Architect to join our Global Payments & Liquidity team. This role translates strategic intent into executable business capabilities, ensuring our payment and liquidity operations are future-ready, resilient, and aligned with enterprise goals. As a Business Architect, you will bridge high-level business strategy and operational delivery, define and evolve business capabilities, design target operating models, and guide transformation initiatives that enhance our global financial infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

  • Strategic Alignment & Capability Design
    • Partner with senior leaders to shape the strategic roadmap for global payments and liquidity.
    • Define and evolve business capabilities, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business goals.
    • Develop target operating models and business architecture blueprints that guide transformation and delivery.
  • Architecture Development & Delivery Enablement
    • Translate strategic objectives into actionable business models, process flows, and capability maps.
    • Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure architectural designs are implemented effectively and sustainably.
    • Provide architectural oversight across programmes to ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Facilitation
    • Engage with cross-functional teams including Finance, Treasury, Technology, Risk, and Compliance.
    • Facilitate workshops, design sessions, and governance forums to align stakeholders and drive consensus.
  • Process & Performance Optimisation
    • Analyse current-state processes and systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
    • Support the development of KPIs and metrics to measure business architecture performance and value delivery.
  • Risk & Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure architectural designs adhere to global regulatory standards.
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with payment and liquidity operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Extensive experience in business architecture within financial services, ideally in payments and liquidity.
  • Strong understanding of payment ecosystems, liquidity platforms, and treasury operations.
  • Experience with capability modelling, business process design, and transformation delivery.
