Our client is seeking two Careers Advisors to join our growing Careers Education Service, one working across Leicestershire and another in Northamptonshire. If you're passionate about youth development, education, and career progression, this could be the ideal next step in your career.
Hours: 3 to 5 days a week | Term-time only (49 weeks/year) | Permanent contract | Working Hours: Between 8am and 4pm
In this role, you'll visit secondary schools and colleges to deliver high-quality, impartial Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG),both 1:1 and in group sessions. You'll empower students to make informed decisions about their futures, whether that's into employment, further education, or training.
Sessions will focus on 1:1 support, but may also include CV writing, confidence-building, interview skills, and understanding the job market. You'll also work closely with school staff to support them achieving the Gatsby Benchmarks and tailor your approach to the needs of students, including those with additional needs or at risk of becoming NEET.

Qualifications & Training
- Level 6 Careers Information Advice or Guidance (or willing to work towards)
- Excellent communication, in writing and verbal, and the ability to build long standing working relationships
- Demonstrate ability to deliver outstanding customer service both internally and externally
- Must be dynamic and have the ability to inspire others
- Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the issues and needs of young people in relation to learning and employment, particularly for those individuals at the highest risk of becoming NEET
- Demonstrate ability to word process and use IT inc Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Ability to deliver activities across both schools, colleges, and other settings as required with business needs
- Must be an effective team player and work on own initiative
- Monitor own training and development needs to include up to date sector based knowledge
- Demonstrate understanding of learning, employment and training routes for young people and adults
- Basic knowledge of relevant legislation i.e. Equality and Diversity and Safeguarding
- Proven ability to work on own initiative and plan workload across a range of locations
- Proven effective networking experience, e.g. with other agencies
- Experience of delivering group work
- Knowledge of current educational developments taking place for 14-19 year olds (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence, business insurance, and access to own vehicle for daily travel
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance required (will be arranged)
- One position available in Leicestershire
- One position available in Northamptonshire (ideal candidate based in, or North of Northampton)
- £25,000 - £28,000 per annum (pro rata, based on experience and qualifications)
- 10% employer pension contribution (pro rata)
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)
- Flexible time off in lieu (TOIL) working system
