Are you passionate about guiding young people to achieve their career goals? We are recruiting a Careers Advisor to join a vibrant Further Education and Training College in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on students' futures through high-quality guidance and employability programmes.
- Deliver tailored 1:1 career guidance to students, helping them explore and achieve their career aspirations.
- Plan and run engaging group workshops on employability, apprenticeships and Higher Education (including student finance and bursaries).
- Work with students to complete Student Finance England applications and be aware of Higher Education funding options.
- Work with with the Careers & Employability team and external partners to deliver enrichment activities, including university visits, employment fairs and other careers-focused events.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date resources (including e-resources) on careers, training, apprenticeships and post-18 pathways.
- Work closely with tutors to enhance careers education, including contributing to CPD planning and delivery.
- Stay informed of key sector developments including Gatsby Benchmarks, Labour Market Information (LMI) and other careers education best practices.
Degree PLUS a Level 6 Careers Guidance Qualification (or equivalent) - this is mandatory
Previous experience delivering careers education and advice in a school, college or similar setting
Confident in planning and delivering both 1:1 and group sessions
Strong knowledge of Higher Education, apprenticeships, employability skills and student finance
Able to work across multiple college campuses in central London
This is a key role to help students progress successfully beyond college - whether to university, apprenticeships or employment. You'll be joining a dedicated, student-focused team in a passionate and supportive further education and training environment.
