Be part of a Team that enables Business Growth
You will be a category buyer within the procurement team. You will have specific responsibility for the processing of vendor specific orders and understanding of all aspects of the programmes. You will be working with internal sales teams, specialists and external suppliers to advise on deals. You will support the category manager to ensure orders are processed accurately and on time to successfully meet target deadlines and guarantee fees are paid.
As a Category Buyer, you'll be responsible for:
- Processing high value, high impact orders using comprehensive knowledge of designated vendors with a thorough understanding of complex order processes
- Working directly with vendors and fostering collaborative relationships to ensure on time targets are met and fees are paid
- Supporting category manager with product/price change
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings through currency variations and vendor programme rules with reference to levels and product selection
- Supporting the Category manager with onboarding new processes, vendors, products
We'd love you to have
- Ability to multitask andwork well under pressure
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority
- A self-starter attitude to pro-actively problem solve and advise
- Ability to adapt quickly and retain large quantities ofinformation
- Experience in aprocurement role and in-depth knowledge of specific categories
