Category Manager - FM, Property & Business Services

As part of the NOE CPC Category Procurement Team, you will need to:

  1. Lead the delivery of complex procurement projects, in line with the strategy, across ICSs and with multiple stakeholders.
  2. Support a category management approach to deliver cash-releasing savings and sustainable total cost reductions for NHS in this category area.
  3. Have considerable knowledge and expertise within the specialist category area of FM and Property (Estates & Facilities).
  4. Possess a strong customer focus, commercial acumen, and a proactive approach.
  5. Have a sound approach to contract and supplier management in this category area.
  6. Build excellent working relationships with peers, colleagues, customers, and external stakeholders at both operational and senior levels.
  7. Maintain a hands-on, results-focused mentality.

This role will work closely with and support the Senior Category Manager, alongside other Category Managers, to build relationships with senior and expert stakeholders. It involves managing a portfolio of agreements and supporting new procurement activities in this field. The role includes extensive engagement with NHS organizations and suppliers to develop procurement solutions that meet NHS needs. You will provide expert category-specific support and guidance to NHS organizations and the wider public sector. Skills, experience, and a passion for procurement are essential, with knowledge of and interest in Estates and Facilities categories. Some travel to NHS organizations and events nationally is required.

Location: Work base as stated above; however, NOECPC adopts an agile working policy.
