Are you passionate about gaming and experienced in category management? We’re looking for a Category Planner to take ownership of end-to-end category management across a global gaming portfolio.
This is a unique chance to work at the intersection of gaming, e-commerce, and digital retail strategy, driving growth and ensuring operational excellence for one of the world’s most recognisable gaming platforms.
The Role:
As a Category Planner, you’ll be responsible for pricing, promotions, product lifecycle management, and demand planning. You’ll act as the bridge between finance, supply chain, marketing, and online retail teams, ensuring clarity, accountability, and execution across the gaming business.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead pricing and promotions management, ensuring competitive positioning and timely execution.
- Oversee product onboarding/offboarding processes, including SKU swaps, catalog management, and end-of-life activities.
- Drive demand forecasting and inventory planning to support product launches and seasonal campaigns.
- Collaborate with finance teams to deliver accurate forecasts and category performance reporting.
- Partner with online retail teams to ensure gaming is represented in-store and aligned with strategic priorities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring smooth execution and operational clarity.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in category management, merchandising, or retail operations (gaming or consumer electronics preferred).
- Strong analytical skills with a track record of identifying process improvements and closing operational gaps.
- Experience with pricing strategy, promotions, and catalog management tools.
- Understanding of demand planning, inventory management, and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to influence across multiple teams.
- 18 Months Contract
- Hybrid – One Day Per Week (Paddington)
