Chadburn Lecturer
New Yesterday
We are looking to appoint a part-time clinical lecturer who is currently in clinical training. The Chadburn Academic Clinical Lectureships in Medicine are supported by income from a Fund established following the sale of the South London Hospital for Women.
The Lectureship at St George’s, University of London (SGUL), offers an academic salary of up to £50,000 per year on a part-time basis (up to 0.5 FTE, 20 hours per week), exclusive of clinical time, for a maximum of 5 years in total (not more than 1 year beyond the end of clinical training). The purpose is to provide academic training opportunities for doctors in training, particularly those whose personal circumstances make full-time commitment difficult, such as individuals with family or caregiving responsibilities.
We seek an individual who can strongly complement, enhance, and develop research activities in one of the following areas: Infection and Immunity; Cardiovascular and Genomics; Neuroscience and Cell Biology; Population Health; Medical, Biomedical, and Allied Health.
This is a clinical scientific Lectureship focused on research and teaching, alongside clinical training.
For further information and to apply, please click the 'Apply' button above.
We encourage applications from underrepresented groups, especially individuals with disabilities and/or from ethnic minority backgrounds.
St George’s offers flexible working options, including part-time or reduced hours, opportunities to work from home, compressed hours, and local flexibility in start and finish times.
Informal enquiries can be made via email to Cheryl Watson.
The salary range is £44,159 to £76,280 per annum pro rata.
