Join the leadership of a fast-growing professional services firm. Addition Compliance is looking for a Chief Operating Officer to help ensure our rapid growth is built on rock-solid operations. As COO you will be at the heart of our ambitious firm turning strategy into action, driving operational excellence, and ensuring our clients experience the seamless, reliable service they expect from a market leader.

This is a high-impact role, reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the board. You will shape processes, motivate teams, and build the foundations for sustainable growth in an agile, entrepreneurial environment.

What you will do

  • Shape strategy Turn firm strategy into scalable, efficient processes and lead major operational transformation projects
  • Run operations Own and streamline core business operations including contracts, compliance, governance, vendors, and systems
  • Oversee HR Ensure the firm is compliant in all areas and have robust L&D plans in place to drive internal growth and succession planning
  • Elevate client experience Design and optimise onboarding and service delivery to be consistent, automated, and client-centric
  • Manage risk Oversee resilience, ISMS/ISO frameworks, continuity planning, and risk registers
  • Own software projects Lead strategy, scoping and project management for automation and AI initiatives
  • Lead Build alignment across teams, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and represent the CEO when needed
  • Enable growth Support new service launches, international expansion, and resource planning to stay ahead of demand

What we are looking for

  • Experience in a small or mid-sized service business (e.g., professional services, compliance, tech-enabled services, consultancy)
  • Experience establishing or working within ISO 27001 framework – data security is core to our operations
  • Experience scoping and managing software build projects
  • Proven ability to design and improve processes, lead change, and manage complex projects
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders, with strong communication and presentation skills
  • A collaborative leader who can motivate teams and get things done
  • Exposure to technology transformation, compliance frameworks, or financial services is beneficial but not essential
