Child and Family Practitioner / ChISVA, UNIVERSITY COLLEGE HOSPITALS LONDON NHS Join The Lighthouse – Specialist Child Sexual Abuse Advocacy Roles The Lighthouse is leading the UK’s response to child sexual abuse, and if you are passionate about supporting children and families through the criminal justice process, we want to hear from you. We are recruiting a ChISVA to join our multidisciplinary team in Camden. Serving North Central London and influencing practice across the UK, The Lighthouse brings together police, health, psychology and advocacy in one child‑centred, trauma‑informed service. Our model improves recovery, health outcomes and children’s experience of the justice system. In this role you will provide direct advocacy and support to children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard, their rights understood and their needs prioritised throughout the justice process. You will work closely with social workers, CAMHS clinicians, paediatric staff and NSPCC partners, contributing to holistic assessments, safety planning and trauma‑informed interventions. You will also act as a key point of contact for families, helping them navigate the criminal justice system, understand available support and access services safely. Responsibilities
Direct advocacy and support to children and young people in the justice system Ensure children’s voices, rights and needs are heard and prioritised Collaborate with social workers, CAMHS clinicians, paediatric staff and NSPCC partners for assessments, safety planning and interventions Act as a key point of contact for families to navigate the criminal justice system and access support services
Qualifications
Trained ChISVA with experience supporting children who have experienced trauma or abuse Strong safeguarding knowledge Confidence working independently and as part of a team
