A leading national law firm are currently looking for an experienced Childcare Solicitor to lead our dynamic Care Proceedings team. You'll manage a team of lawyers handling complex public law children matters (care orders, EPOs, SGOs, adoption), while overseeing performance, compliance, and team development.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and manage a team of Childcare Solicitors and legal staff
• Oversee technical quality and supervise casework
• Maintain compliance with LEXCEL and legal aid requirements
• Liaise with stakeholders including local authorities, CAFCASS, and the courts
• Support business development and uphold the firm’s values

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Solicitor with 3–5+ years’ PQE in Childcare Law
• Membership of the Law Society Children Panel (or working toward it)
• Experience supervising legal teams
• Strong advocacy, case management, and public law expertise
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
