Children’s Independent Reviewing Officer – £40

The role is initially for 4 months to cover sickness absence. It is working 30 hours over 4 days per week with flexibility in start and finish times and flexible working/use of TOIL. The role is primarily as an Independent Reviewing Officer to review plans for cared for children and pathway plans of care leavers. Some members of the team also chair CP conferences, and while this is not expected, there may be occasions when the post-holder is asked to undertake this work to support the service.

The role is hybrid – based at Grand Central in Stockport (48-52 Grand Central, Wellington Road South, Stockport, SK1 3SS). There is an option to work from home, but reviews are preferred to be held in person. The post holder will need to travel to Stockport to conduct reviews and visit children. There is no fixed number of office days, but face-to-face supervision, monthly team meetings, and training are held at the Civic Campus near Grand Central. Most children reside in Stockport or the surrounding GM area, with some placed further afield.
