Role Overview

• Provide legal advice across consumer contracts, professional negligence, inheritance matters and related civil litigation.
• Progress claims proactively, managing the entire claims process from initiation to settlement in line with the client's legal expenses insurance policy.
• Maintain accurate time and case records, ensuring all entries are up to date.
• Identify personal and team development needs, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support strategic development of department best practice and product performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent, fact‑based legal opinions to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Negotiate and settle claims while managing budget and cost recovery.
• Document and report case status, time spent and outcomes accurately.
• Collaborate with senior team members on complex litigation and cross‑functional projects.
• Promote a culture of learning and professional development within the team.

Required Experience

• Solicitor or Legal Executive standing, or equivalently experienced professional.
• Proficient in contract litigation, especially small claim and fast‑track courts.
• Experience with professional negligence or inheritance claims is desirable.
• Demonstrated teamwork within a high‑performing legal environment.

Location and Working Hours

Based in either Bristol (BS1 6JX) or Leeds (LS1 4AZ). Hybrid model – 2 days in the office, 3 days from home. 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
