We’re seeking a passionate and technically skilled Civil Structural Engineer to join our Birmingham team and make a real impact.

Job Description

You will be a key member of our delivery team, contributing to the design and analysis of complex structures, while developing your technical and project management skills. Your responsibilities include:

• Delivering high-quality engineering solutions and supporting project delivery across major UK and international assignments
• Designing, analyzing, and checking structures across sectors — from bridges and tunnels to retaining walls and marine works
• Performing calculations, utilizing design software, and applying international design codes and standards
• Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, external consultants, and clients
• Managing time, budgets, and project resources effectively
• Standardizing and peer reviewing technical work to uphold design excellence
• Contributing to health and safety on projects and managing associated risks

Qualifications

We seek someone with technical ability, curiosity, creativity, and a team-oriented mindset. Ideally, you will have:

• A degree in civil or structural engineering (postgrad qualifications are a plus)
• A proactive approach toward becoming a Chartered Engineer (ICE, IStructE)
• Experience designing complex structures (foundations, bridges, marine structures, etc.) using steel, concrete, or composite materials
• Good understanding of structural analysis, construction methods, and advanced numerical modeling
• Familiarity with Eurocodes and international standards
• Proficiency in finite element analysis software such as LUSAS, Midas
• Excellent communication and writing skills, with a collaborative approach
