Team/Role Overview

Citi is widely considered to be the market leader in Global Payments due to its ability to effect payments in about 140 currencies, its in-country presence in 95+ countries and its strong regional solution sets. This opportunity within Payments Product Management is a dynamic senior business leadership role requiring the individual to display an excellent understanding of client experience needs, perform continuous market scans, drive innovation and work across multiple Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) product groups and geographies. The role will focus on strategic commercialization of the pipeline of innovative solutions and differentiated payments services (including but not limited to Clearing and Worldlink propositions) for Citi Financial Institutions clients, with a main focus on Europe and UK markets. Clearing is a flagship service within Citi’s Global Payments, contributing to growth through innovation – including the strongly-adopted 24/7/365 USD Clearing.

What you’ll do

  • Drive product Commercialization of Payments solutions for Financial Institutions (under the Enable FIs umbrella), globally and with primary responsibility for Europe and UK Clusters, to ensure the business grows and captures market share on the back of new solutions and innovation.
  • Collaborate with Cluster Payments Head and FI Sales Head to execute commercialization initiatives that drive growth and market share capture in each Cluster
  • Drive collaboration with FI Sales organization to ensure best in class sales enablement
  • In partnership with Marketing, design and execute marketing campaigns focusing on launches of new services; contribute to Thought Leadership agenda
  • Identify and drive data-led initiatives and client analysis to support growth and capture insights
  • Engage, collaborate with, and actively support regional partners as part of the global payments product organization
  • Represent Citi at relevant industry events, forums and working groups

What we’ll need from you

  • Relevant experience in FI Payments space. Proven track record of success in commercializing and delivering payments products
  • Exposure to and understanding of business analysis, data and payment mechanisms
  • Attention to detail and a process/analytic mindset
  • Fast learner with intellectual curiosity; proactively seeks and develops new opportunities and can work in a fast-moving environment and dynamic team
  • Execution spirit with results orientation and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to influence and coordinate multiple internal stakeholders around a common goal
  • Invest time to keep track of competition, market trends, new technologies
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citi and its clients by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
