Join to apply for the Client Money Calculations Analyst role at The Ardonagh Group. This hybrid opportunity is to join our Client Money Calculations (CMC) team of 5 in Leeds to ensure CMC and IMCs relating to insurance broking are completed timely and correctly. This role will involve using your skills across several financial accounting disciplines to deliver an effective service to our clients, ensuring that we adequately protect and administer our client’s money. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in the Leeds office and the potential to work 3 days from home.
Responsibilities
- Perform reconciliation and process activities across one or more of the following disciplines:
- Client Money Calculations
- Insurer Money Calculations
- Bank Reconciliation
- Run the CMC reports using the automated ODS system (Power BI).
- Perform manual CMCs and IMCs for any Ardonagh Advisory entities not on the ODS system, including systems in run off and new systems.
- Perform matching activities across our AIBL and BNL businesses.
- Submit CMC packs for sign off.
- Communicate and build relationships with other IBA departments, internal brokers & businesses, and external brokers to investigate and resolve any queried transactions.
- Where applicable, investigate the root cause of non-compliance, improve the process, and reduce CASS breaches.
- Operate as a key contact for IBA, month end reporting and legacy balance resolution, working alongside IBA colleagues to ensure month ends are completed accurately and calculations are completed efficiently.
- Proactive involvement and support in continuous improvement.
- Support audit requests for information and process walk-through exercises.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education – Degree educated (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting or similar (desirable).
- Specialised Knowledge – Client Money – CASS 5 (preferable).
- Skills – Microsoft Excel skills to intermediate level.
- Experience – Previous financial services / client money experience in an insurance broking environment preferable. Experience in working with automated assisted processes.
Most crucially for any applicant is your communication skills across all mediums, use analytical and investigative skills to solve problems and respond positively to change. You will need to have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail whilst being adaptable to changing environments and priorities to ensure deadlines are met.
