The Role of Client Onboarding Specialist
The business intelligence platform which you would be working on, is a leading global platform which provides marketers with best practice advice, trend data, special reports, webinars, insights, research papers, advisory services and much more. It exists to help marketers to spend their budgets as effectively as possible in an ever changing marketing landscape. Clients pay an annual subscription for each marketer that requires access to the platform.
Most customers who fail to renew their annual subscription to the platform are those clients who have only been using it for up to 2 years. Therefore this role has been created to allow you to focus all of your time on making sure that the newest clients are set up on the platform, trained up, actively using it and getting value out of it. You would therefore be looking after all new EMEA clients who have signed up within the past 0-2 years. Once a client has been subscribing to the platform for over 2 years, one of your colleagues in the Customer Success team will then take over the client.
There will be a client base of around 100 clients at any one time (brands, media owners, agencies). Their system will flag up those clients with the least regularly of usage so you will be prioritise them. The role is all about building and maintaining relationships. You won’t be doing any selling, although you will naturally provide the Account Management team with customer insight to empower them for when they contact the client to rebook them or offer upsell opportunities.
This is the first role of its kind within the Client Success team, so they envisage that you would likely build a team around you in time.
Requirements for this Client Onboarding Specialist role
- 2+ years client relationship/account management experience within a professional environment (eg could be media, SaaS, events, membership)
- An interest in marketing
- Experience of engaging with senior level decision makers
- Highly articulate, confident and a strong relationship person
- Detail orientated
- Outgoing, lively personality
- Stable career history
- SaaS/BI experience would be highly desirable
