Join us as the Client Relations Director at GES - Global Experience Specialists and lead a high-value event portfolio, shaping strategy, growing revenue, and driving client success across our business.
Responsibilities
Lead and inspire: manage, mentor, and empower a team of Account Managers to deliver outstanding service and performance across all touchpoints.
Own the P&L: take full responsibility for your event portfolio, delivering accurate forecasts and driving revenue growth and operating income improvement.
Drive margin improvement: identify new opportunities, streamline processes, and implement the ADP process to enhance profitability across all accounts.
Champion client success: build strong, trusted partnerships with key organisers, anticipating needs, solving challenges, and delivering world‑class event experiences.
Spot growth opportunities: conduct service gap analyses, upsell additional GES services, and renegotiate contracts to maximise value and long‑term retention.
Collaborate across teams: work hand in hand with Operations, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless delivery and commercial alignment.
Lead from the front: chair internal meetings for major events, coordinate multi‑service delivery, and act as the key liaison between GES and our organisers.
Drive excellence: ensure systems and processes (Salesforce, CRM, SOP, Clarity, SBL) are fully leveraged to deliver efficiency, visibility, and results.
Champion continuous improvement: seek ways to innovate, improve, and align with GES’s sustainability and growth objectives.
Qualifications
Proven experience in account management, client relations, or event delivery within the exhibitions, live events, or experiential sector.
Strong commercial acumen with hands‑on P&L management and forecasting experience.
A natural leader who motivates teams to achieve more – supportive, decisive, and inspiring.
Exceptional relationship‑building and negotiation skills at senior client level.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
Highly organized, proactive, and detail‑driven, with a focus on delivering excellence.
Collaborative mindset and the ability to work cross‑functionally to achieve results.
