Clinical Lead Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Clinical Lead for the Wigan Home Based Treatment Team. Job Summary An exciting opportunity has become available for a Clinical Lead. The role will develop and implement services and care pathways for adults with mental health problems, working within the relevant framework/model for service delivery. Main duties
Provide specialist professional nursing leadership and guidance. Offer clinical advice and management in the key dimensions of health‑care quality: patient safety, effectiveness of interventions, patient experience, and the environment in which care is delivered.
Person Specification Education / Qualifications
Registered Mental Nurse (NMC registration required). Experience as a Band 6 practitioner.
Experience
Evidence of change management and quality improvement experience. Evidence of post‑registration training/development. Experience of participating in audit and implementing action plans. Desirable: experience of urgent care.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Provide advice and consultation to a multi‑disciplinary team based on solid clinical experience of community mental‑health nursing. Support Team Managers and senior practitioners in daily operations. Facilitate lifelong learning and support appraisal, knowledge and skills framework and personal development plans. Provide clinical supervision as both supervisee and supervisor; understand the agenda for change framework. Understand clinical governance and represent nursing at local groups.
Other Requirements
Frequent travel across the Trust’s footprint required. Flexibility in working hours to meet service needs.
