Are you an experienced Dermatology nurse with a passion for community care? Do you advocate for clinical excellence, innovation and a holistic approach? Are you looking to develop as a Dermatology leader? You could be our new Clinical Nurse Specialist. This is a role for a confident Dermatology Nurse, with the skills and experience to lead community clinics across Calderdale. You will be comfortable working independently in prescribing clinics and in carrying out minor operations, punch biopsies, curettage, shave and simple excisions. You will enjoy working with a diverse caseload, providing specialist advice, assessment and support to patients and their families across the community. As a growing leader, you will work closely with our Service Manager and Lead Nurse to shape and develop the community Dermatology service. You will contribute to MDT discussions to drive continuous improvement. You will role model high-quality, evidence-based care through your own nursing practice and promote these values through your compassionate leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead community Dermatology clinics across Calderdale and contribute to shaping the service with the Service Manager and Lead Nurse.
  • Provide specialist advice, assessment and support to patients and their families across the community.
  • Work independently in prescribing clinics and perform minor procedures (punch biopsies, curettage, shave and simple excisions).
  • Participate in MDT discussions and drive continuous improvement in care delivery.
  • Model high-quality, evidence-based nursing practice and promote compassionate leadership.

Essential qualifications and experience

  • NMC Level 1 Registered Nurse
  • Non-Medical Independent Prescriber (V300)
  • Specialist training in Dermatology-specific assessment and treatment
  • Extensive clinical experience relevant to community Dermatology
