Clinical Nurse Specialist Dermatology - Coventry and Warwickshire

New Yesterday

Are you an experienced Dermatology nurse with a passion for community care? Do you advocate for clinical excellence, innovation, and a holistic approach? Are you looking to develop as a Dermatology leader? You could be our new Clinical Nurse Specialist!

This role is for a confident Dermatology Nurse with the skills and experience to lead community clinics across Coventry. You will be comfortable working independently in prescribing clinics and performing minor procedures such as punch biopsies, curettage, shave, and simple excisions. You will enjoy managing a diverse caseload, providing specialist advice, assessment, and support to patients and their families in the community.

A key aspect of this role includes responsibility for patients receiving Disease Modifying Antirheumatic Drugs (DMARDs). You will oversee blood monitoring processes, including issuing and reviewing blood forms, interpreting results within departmental protocols, and escalating concerns to the consultant team as needed. Timely coordination of prescriptions will be essential, requiring excellent time management and digital literacy. You will utilize various digital systems to track results, document communications, and manage prescribing tasks.

You will also act as a primary contact for patients and their families, communicating effectively by phone and building strong therapeutic relationships.

As a growing leader, you will work closely with our Service Manager and Lead Nurse to shape and develop the community Dermatology service. You will contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions to drive continuous improvement. You will role model high-quality, evidence-based care through your nursing practice and promote these values through compassionate leadership.
