Overview

Clinical Team Lead — NHS (Health Navigator Ltd). This role leads a team of Clinical Coaches delivering AI-guided clinical coaching to patients with complex health needs across North East London. The role supports proactive, personalised care, improves patient outcomes, and contributes to NHS sustainability. Flexible, remote-first working with quarterly in-person meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee delivery of high-quality, patient-centred clinical coaching by a remote team of registered healthcare professionals.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management, including 1:1s, mid‑year reviews, and appraisals.
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain Clinical Coaches; promote a psychologically safe, inclusive team culture.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies and professional guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and NHS partners to drive service improvement, patient outcomes, and equity of access.
  • Shape the service strategy and support integration of AI-guided tools to enhance care.
  • Engage stakeholders, manage relationships with primary care, ICB leads, social care, and voluntary sector.
  • Monitor team performance using dashboards and KPIs; manage caseloads and patient flow for impact.
  • Support continuous service development, quality improvement, and scalable care models.

Key Qualifications and Experience

  • Essential: Leadership or mentorship experience in a clinical setting; strong coaching and engagement skills; commitment to patient-centred care and shared decision-making; ability to work with diverse populations; operational understanding of healthcare delivery and quality improvement; digital competency with clinical systems and telehealth.
  • Desirable: Experience with patients with long-term conditions; knowledge of local health and social care services; additional language skills.

Qualifications

  • Essential: Professional Registration (NMC, HCPC, or equivalent) or eligibility.
  • Desirable: Leadership/Management qualification or training; coaching or motivational interviewing training (or willingness to undertake).

Details

  • Salary: £46,000 to £48,000 per year
  • Contract: Fixed term (18 months)
  • Working pattern: Full-time, remote or home working with quarterly in-person meetings
  • Location: London, UK (North East London service region)
