Hybrid working: The role will involve a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home, depending on role, needs, and business considerations.

Your role

Solution Architects shape and define solution architectures for our clients. These architectures are used to define project plans, manage detailed design, inform technical risk analysis and support estimation. You will work with a client from the earliest stages of a project through delivery and go-live. You will provide technical leadership and support to the Programme Director or Engagement Manager. As a member of the solution architecture team, you will bring a mix of technical skills, industry insight, business acumen and leadership. You will collaborate with Capgemini teams in the UK and India, as well as other disciplines such as engagement managers and account executives. You will take a leading role in both delivery and business development to shape and design innovative, custom solutions for our clients.

  • Work on some of the most leading edge cloud-native architectures in development today.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of shaping solutions & defining the right architectural approach.
  • Collaborate closely with our engineering teams to ensure our solutions reflect your vision and current development practices.
  • Be a trusted technology adviser to our clients as well as to Capgemini colleagues.

Your Skills And Experience

  • Excellent knowledge of AWS for delivery of cloud-native solutions.
  • A strong background in open-source technologies and frameworks; API-centric architecture, and experience in designing scalable, resilient and secure applications.
  • Microservice-based architectures using domain driven design, event sourcing patterns and containerisation technologies.
  • Exposure to and some experience with structured architecture approaches such as TOGAF or SAFe.

Your Security Clearance

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. To obtain DV clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 10 years, along with other detailed criteria and requirements. Throughout the recruitment process, you may be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as country of residence and nationality. Some posts are restricted to sole UK Nationals for security reasons; therefore you may be asked about your citizenship in the application process.
