Are you passionate about building secure scalable cloud services Join our dynamic team as a Senior Cloud Security Engineer and help shape the future of cybersecurity in a fast-paced global environment. This role is being offered on a 12-month contractor basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and enhance modern cloud-based cybersecurity services
- Implement secure authentication mechanisms (e.g. MFA Passkeys)
- Integrate with identity providers such as Auth0 Transmit Security and Ping Identity
- Develop solutions to detect and prevent account takeover attempts
- Optimise the efficiency and resilience of cloud services
- Drive continuous improvement in technical standards tools and processes
- Translate business needs into technical requirements in collaboration with the Product Owner
- Oversee deployment and operations across development testing and production environments
- Collaborate with global teams in Australia and the U.S. to share insights and best practices
Required Qualifications
- Strong expertise in cloud computing and services (AWS experience preferred)
- Proficiency in TypeScript and REST API development (NestJS experience preferred)
- Deep understanding of cloud security principles including IAM networking and encryption
- Experience with web services and microservices-based architectures
- Excellent communication skills capable of bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies; experience with Scrum is a plus
- Passion for continuous learning and professional development
