Overview

As part of Lancashire Football Association’s drive and commitment to develop, inspire, and support coaches across our football community, we are seeking a passionate, highly motivated, and knowledgeable individual to join our Workforce Development Team as a Coach Development Officer.

The successful candidate will be a people-focused practitioner, with a strong understanding of the FA Learning Coach Development Framework, and a passion for creating positive, inclusive experiences for every coach and every player. This is a key role in ensuring that coaches across Lancashire are inspired, supported, and provided with opportunities to develop their skills and confidence in order to deliver high-quality football experiences for all.

This position will lead the design and delivery of coach development programmes for England Football Accredited Clubs, working closely with Coaching Leads to embed long-term, people-centred coach development plans.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of coach development programmes for England Football Accredited Clubs, working closely with Coaching Leads to embed long-term, people-centred coach development plans.
  • Be a people-focused practitioner with a strong understanding of the FA Learning Coach Development Framework; create positive, inclusive experiences for coaches and players.
  • Support clubs on their journey, delivering face-to-face CPD and providing opportunities to develop coaches’ skills and confidence.
  • Collaborate within a busy, high-performing Workforce Team; communicate, collaborate, and manage relationships with volunteers, coaches, and key stakeholders.
  • Work flexibly with regular evening and weekend commitments; based at Lancashire FA Headquarters in Leyland with hybrid working options and travel across the County.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Experience supporting adult learning; practical experience of coach development; ability to engage and inspire volunteers, coaches, and key stakeholders.
  • Full-time role, 35 hours per week; willingness to deliver face-to-face CPD evenings and weekends.
