CMI Lead

Manpower are currently seeking an interim CMI Lead, to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.

The position is based in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. This is a full-time temporary role to run until mid-March 2026, requiring 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £61,000 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.

The role currently offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements.

Due to the urgency of the role, candidates must be available immediately/have no notice period.

The main purpose of this role is to drive consumer-focused insights for strategic planning and flawless end-to-end execution in social media and sales channels marketing and commerce across touchpoints, together with the Beauty & Wellbeing CMI team. Specific OKRs of the role will be discussed and decided based on business agenda and personal goals. This role requires both brand design and demand creation skills:

  1. Insights-led content design and measurement for brand world building in media and commerce
  2. Market development in deploying innovations and existing core businesses into growth hacking multi-year growth
  3. Support global brand design teams in executing and transforming local research with relevance
  4. Brand design and deployment for Simple brand in UK+I

Key Responsibilities

  1. Independently lead the design, innovation, and deployment of insights for Simple skincare in UK+I
  2. Drive brand-specific insights in new developments, execution, and measurement of brand superiority and brand experience across media and sales channels in Europe
  3. Enhance social brand experience insights and measure improvements in upstream and downstream brand content
  4. Manage social communities insights through influencer marketing, earned & paid media, and community management
  5. Support Power Brand CMI teams in creating integrated brand plans via consumer activations, partnerships, shopper & retail experiences (POS design, retail theatre, in-store activations)
  6. Manage relationships across CMI teams, agency partners, CTI, and cross-functional teams

Key Requirements

  1. Extensive experience in marketing or market research driving category/brand growth
  2. Knowledge of qualitative & quantitative research techniques and experience with in-market data analysis (e.g., Nielsen, KWP, BGS), leveraging multiple data sources to generate deep insights and clear business stories
  3. Experience in innovation and communication development
  4. Strong passion for digital marketing, including digital content, influencer marketing, and eCommerce innovation
  5. Excellent engagement, presentation, and communication skills; capable of managing projects independently
  6. Ability to work remotely with teams
  7. Proactive in challenging norms and driving change, unlocking growth through insights
  8. Ability to influence senior stakeholders, prioritize effectively, and drive impact
  9. Curiosity, attention to detail, positive attitude, and self-motivation
  10. Understanding of the competitive beauty market and awareness of consumer trends

Additional Information

Some ad hoc travel to the Blackfriars, London, office may be required.
