CNC Turner/Programmer role at Hilman & Co. in Dartford. £18 - £20 ph. Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent.

The Role

As a CNC Turner/Programmer, you will be responsible for producing precision components to exacting customer specifications and to AS9100 quality standards. You will work independently and as part of a team, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes (with driven tooling).
• Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings with a strong understanding of geometric dimensions & tolerances.
• Creating, loading, examining, and modifying CNC programmes.
• Conducting in-process inspections and ensuring quality throughout production.
• Using a wide range of precision measuring equipment.
• Maintaining high standards of organisation, punctuality, and safety.

The Candidate

• Experienced CNC Turner with programming capability (MAPPS/CAPS knowledge desirable but not essential).
• Strong background in precision engineering and working to tight tolerances.
• Ability to work within a team or autonomously.
• Quality-conscious with a positive and proactive attitude.
