The Role: Lead, Influence & Win More Work As Commercial Bid Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind all major bid activity. You’ll take ownership from initial review through to submission — ensuring each bid is compliant, commercially strong, and strategically positioned to win. Key Responsibilities
Own the complete bid lifecycle; set plans, manage timelines, and coordinate internal contributors. Analyse tender documents, identify risks/opportunities, and shape winning strategies with senior leaders.
Stakeholder Coordination
Act as the central hub between commercial, operations, finance, and legal teams.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure every submission meets governance standards, industry requirements, and brand tone — always clear, accurate, and compelling. Manage the CRM (e.g., HubSpot) and tender portals; track activity and flag upcoming opportunities.
Commercial Handover
Support commercial negotiations and deliver seamless handovers to operational delivery teams. Lead post-bid reviews and refine processes, templates, and bid libraries to improve future win rates.
Marketing & BD Support
Contribute to case studies, marketing content, and collateral that strengthen future submissions.
About You
Proven background in bid/tender management within a technical, service-led, or regulated sector. Strong understanding of public and private sector procurement. Excellent project management skills and ability to coordinate multi-stakeholder contributions. Exceptional written communication and bid presentation capabilities. Commercially sharp, analytical, and detail-focused. Confident with MS Office and CRM platforms (HubSpot experience ideal). Degree in Business, Law, Marketing, or similar (preferred). Energy, utilities, or infrastructure experience is beneficial but not essential.
