Job Description

We're growing our Dispute Resolution Team at Field Seymour Parkes LLP and are looking for a talented solicitor with strong litigation experience to join us - either as a future partner or someone ready to step into that role now.

This is a key hire as part of succession planning within a well‑established and highly regarded team.

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking someone with 4+ years' PQE and a solid track record in commercial litigation. You may already be operating at partner level or be ready to take that next step in a team that will support and challenge you.

You’ll have experience in, or be willing to develop your ability to undertake, a broad mix of disputes, which may include:

• Shareholder and boardroom disputes
• Commercial contract claims
• Insolvency litigation
• Professional negligence
• Breach of warranty claims
• Post‑termination restrictions
• IP and cross‑border disputes
• Unfair prejudice petitions
• Injunctive relief
• International arbitration

You’ll work collaboratively on larger matters and take ownership of your own caseload, with the opportunity to develop your practice and client base further.

What You'll Need

• Hard‑working, commercially‑minded, and solution‑focused
• Able to handle (in line with your experience level) complex and high‑value litigation
• Capable of working independently and mentoring others
• Willingness to engage in peer‑to‑peer discussions with senior colleagues
• A network of clients or referrers – or a proven track record in winning work

We advise a mix of large multinationals and ambitious SMEs. Examples of clients we can name publicly include:

Volvo, Honda, ITA, Whistl, HR Wallingford, and SPP Pumps

Recent Work Highlights

• Acting for a former director in a $450m+ fiduciary duty dispute with administrators
• Professional negligence claim in the energy sector (~£1m)
• High‑stakes contractual claim and counterclaim in the defence sector
• Cross‑border dispute relating to breach of a JV agreement (~£66m claim)
