Overview

LGC is looking for a dedicated and motivated Commercial Finance Business Partner to join our team in Bury, UK. You will provide crucial analysis and insight to our commercial leadership team, supporting our mission of "Science for a Safer World". Reporting to the Revenue Controller and VP Commercial – EMEA, you will optimize decision-making in our life sciences group.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Own daily revenue reporting and weekly roll-up of global revenue submissions, presenting figures to SLT and EVP of Standards Division, and challenging Commercial VPs on their numbers.
  • Coordinate month-end revenue reporting for MBR.
  • Conduct monthly P&L review of commercial OPEX perimeter for the Commercial EMEA team.
  • Drive an improved understanding of our complex global order book, specifically to "walk" our order book positions to improve revenue realization.
  • Evaluate commercial sales incentive structures and incorporate them into the commission plan to establish targets aligned with achieving the Standards Revenue Budget.
  • Deliver financial MI (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annually).
  • Collaborate with the commercial leadership team to offer valuable analysis and insights to encourage informed decision-making.
  • Consolidate, manage, and deliver annual Budgets, Quarterly Forecasting, and rolling monthly forecast compilation while ensuring standard procedures are in place.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications

  • Advanced Excel Skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated interest in occasional international travel and a dynamic business environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced (but highly rewarding) environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience supporting commercial functions in a complex international manufacturing environment.
  • Flexible work environment.
  • Hybrid work environment (50% office-based).
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
  • Experience with Tableau (Creator license i.e., Desktop) preferred but not required.
