Overview

As Commercial Finance Manager, you'll lead financial support for our Leasing Collective (Autorama), partnering closely with the Leasing Leadership Team and managers to influence and drive delivery of the full-year financial plan. You’ll own the annual planning and rolling forecast processes for the Autorama legal entity, and provide regular weekly and monthly insights on performance. This role does not involve people management but involves managing an entire business arm from a commercial finance perspective alongside the Commercial Finance Director.

Responsibilities

• Take a proactive approach to understanding new products, building financial models, developing KPIs, and driving commercially sound decisions.
• Lead monthly reviews and revenue analysis, working with the Business Insight and Reporting teams to ensure information supports strategic decision-making.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis as required, constructively challenging stakeholders – including external partners – to ensure financial robustness.
• Identify risks and opportunities, influence stakeholders, and help shape commercially compelling strategies.
• Collaborate across Autotrader and contribute to a range of projects; supported by the wider Finance team to drive positive change and continuous improvement.
• Travel to Hemel Hempstead is expected approximately once a month, with more frequent visits initially to build relationships and understand the business.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
• Experience in a similar commercially focused role.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build meaningful relationships and influence stakeholders across financial and non-financial backgrounds.
• Advanced Excel skills with experience modelling data.
• Curious with strong commercial awareness; proactive with a problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to work autonomously and adapt quickly while meeting deadlines and delivering ongoing projects.
