Overview

Our client, a multinational organisation, is seeking a skilled Legal Counsel / Commercial Lawyer to join their busy and growing in-house legal team on a 9 -12 month fixed term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded solicitor to broaden their expertise by handling a wide range of high-value, complex, and multi-jurisdictional commercial contracts and agreements.

Location & Working

Based in Yorkshire with a flexible hybrid working policy, the company prefers candidates who can work in the office 1-2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate high-value, complex commercial contracts and multi-jurisdictional agreements
• Provide legal advice on compliance, anti-bribery, disputes, and other legal matters as they arise
• Assist internal teams to balance legal risks with commercial and operational business needs
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, supporting business objectives with a commercial outlook

Candidate Profile

• Qualified UK solicitor with at least 4+ years PQE and a proven track record handling complex commercial contracts
• Experience in-house is desirable but not essential; private practice lawyers considering a move in-house are welcome
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with strong commercial acumen
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
