About the Organisation

International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) is the global trade association for shipowners and operators, representing the world’s national shipowner associations and more than 80% of the world's merchant fleet. The aim of ICS is to act as an advocate for the industry on issues of maritime affairs, shipping policy, and technical matters, including ship construction, operation, safety, and management, and to develop best practices in the industry.

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Manager to join our commercial team on a maternity cover basis. This role is crucial in driving our business initiatives and ensuring the smooth operation of our commercial channels. The Commercial Manager is responsible for project managing new commercial channels and supporting the growth of established commercial channels.

This is a broad remit that delivers on the organisation’s commercial strategy to sustainably grow revenue, and plays a pivotal role in building relationships with members, partners and customers, achieving revenue targets, keeping projects to time and budget, and expanding market reach. Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Commercial Manager is an agile worker who is just as comfortable having commercial conversations with C-Suite executives as they are in project managing the launch of a new software product.
