Overview of the role
This role is critical to the success and growth of our private healthcare services, with a core focus on our Weight Management offering. The purpose is to lead and scale a high-performing clinic operation that delivers safe, compliant, and clinically effective care—while driving commercial success. The vision is to establish Well as a trusted provider of private healthcare, with Weight Management as a flagship service. This role blends clinical oversight, operational leadership, and commercial thinking to drive sustainable growth in a highly competitive and fast-evolving space.
This is a hybrid working role with 3 days in the office or working across sites.
Main Responsibilities
- Clinic & Workforce Management: Oversee pharmacist and clinic scheduling, ensure coverage for annual leave, lead training for new pharmacists, technicians, and colleagues delivering the Weight Management service, and maximize service availability.
- Revenue & Growth Delivery: Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue, improve patient retention, and identify cross-sell and partnership opportunities to support patient acquisition and long-term engagement.
- Market & Competitor Insight: Conduct ongoing market research and competitor analysis. Monitor pricing models to ensure Well remains competitive.
- Marketing & Engagement: Collaborate with marketing teams to engage existing patients, acquire new ones, and design win-back strategies using email, SMS, and other channels.
- Clinic Operations & Patient Experience: Support remote pharmacist teams, optimize appointment scheduling, and manage patient flow to maximize clinic capacity and improve the patient journey, including proactive issue resolution for deliveries and faulty devices.
- Technology & Data Utilisation: Lead the implementation and optimisation of CRM platforms and digital tools such as Monday.com to generate insights, improve processes, and enhance service delivery through data-driven decision-making.
- Compliance & Clinical Governance: Ensure full compliance with regulatory standards, uphold patient safety, and conduct regular audits to maintain quality and ethical care.
- Financial Oversight & Supply Chain: Track clinic and patient performance metrics, manage costs through resource planning, and work with the Pharmacy team to maintain stock levels. Partner with Customer Services for timely payment recovery.
- Supplier & Service Development: Foster relationships with suppliers like Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk to explore growth opportunities and explore service enhancements including Click & Collect and in-store delivery models.
Key knowledge and skills required:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with various departments.
- Commercial acumen.
- Analytical mindset to identify gaps and opportunities through data analysis.
- Experience in creating and executing marketing strategies supporting team efforts.
