I am currently recruiting for a highly commercial and rewarding public sector business that is looking for a commercial procurement manager.

The Commercial team provides specialist procurement and contract management advice across the business, ensuring all procurement regulations are met.

You will be responsible for leading procurement activities across the business in the corporate and professional services category. This includes vehicle hire, travel and accommodation, venue hire, legal services, HR services, research services, print/postal services, language services, office supplies, office furniture, health screening/support services.

The role may also support the IS and digital category team and may include line manager responsibilities.

• Utilise knowledge of procurement legislation and commercial acumen to procure and manage contracts in the corporate and professional services category.
• Lead and collaborate with stakeholders to determine the best route to market, develop specifications, and evaluation criteria. Draft tender and contract documents with attention to detail.
• Provide solutions to issues, make recommendations, and implement changes to meet business needs.
• Analyse management information on contracts to inform management activities and recommend actions, liaising with relevant departments and suppliers.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external suppliers.

Based in Manchester, 2-3 days in the office and the rest from home.
