A Commercial & Property Litigation Solicitor of 5 years + PQE is required due to expansion for a specialist Litigation practice close to Hertford.

Requirements

Requirements for this Commercial & Property Litigation Solicitor role:

  • 5+ years PQE with experience in service charges and ground rent debt recovery (residential and commercial). Candidates with less experience may be considered if they demonstrate exceptional skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team of solicitors and paralegals, ensuring high performance and professional development.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration and build positive relationships with clients, team members, and external partners.

Desired experience

  • Experience in commercial property litigation, breaches of covenant, and other landlord and tenant matters.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering training and mentoring junior staff to support their professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for managing your own caseload and providing guidance and supervision to the team.
  • Have leadership and managerial experience ensuring effective delegation and performance management.
  • Handling defended service charge, ground rent, and possession matters (residential and commercial) independently and proactively.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on breach of covenant matters and general landlord and tenant queries.
  • Ensuring compliance with court and tribunal deadlines and maintaining high-quality case management.
  • Reviewing claims, evaluating the merits of defences and counterclaims, and advising clients accordingly.
  • Maintaining regular reporting to clients and ensuring clear communication throughout case progressions.
  • Supporting business development initiatives and promoting the firm’s expertise in residential landlord and tenant matters.
