With six offices across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, Lightfoots is proud of its unrivalled reputation of excellence for all of our services.We are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to advise clients on a wide variety of commercial real estate matters including general sales and purchases of commercial property, secured lending, commercial leases and development work. The role will have a particular focus on clients in the agricultural sector so prior experience of agricultural matters would be desirable but not essential.This is a new senior role reporting directly to the Partners with extensive opportunity to build experience and client following in undertaking varied and complex work within a supportive and expanding commercial property department.This role is based in our High Street Thame Office and this is a hybrid role and based on full time hours up to two days per week can be worked remotely.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvising and handling acquisitions and disposal transactions;Negotiating commercial leases and advising on related landlord / tenant issues;Advising on secured lending transactions;Advising on development transactions including options and promotions, Section 106 Agreements and solar/ battery storage agreements;Advising on easements and wayleaves;Liaising with clients, clients’ agents, borrowers, asset managers, buyers’ solicitors, internal depts and any others as necessary;Dealing with post completion issues and ensuring post-completion is concluded accurately;Using case management systems on a day-to-day basis;Handle client billing and ensure all billing is accurate and timely.What We’re Looking ForA minimum of 5 years PQE in a Commercial Property position;Experience in agricultural matters is desirable although not essential;Prior experience in commercial property practice is a necessity;Able to work under pressure maintaining attention to detail and meet tight deadlines;Proactive with commercial and financial awareness;A good networker and willingness to represent the department in business development opportunities;Excellent communication and organisational skills at all levels and a true team ethosWhy Work for Lightfoots Solicitors?Our staff are our greatest asset, and we work hard to provide a culture where you can thrive and enjoy a fantastic career.
