JOB TITLE: Commercial Strategy and Insights Executive

DEPARTMENT: Commercial Insights

LOCATION: Stamford Bridge, London

CONTRACT: Full-Time, Permanent (35 hours Monday - Friday)

This is a hybrid role, with five days on-site at Stamford Bridge, with 4 work from home days per month.

The Commercial Strategy and Insights Executive will support the team in leading on key strategic initiatives linked to Chelsea’s commercial partner programme and be an integral member of the in-house commercial insights function. This role will focus on supporting the contact strategy for brands and acting as the conduit to the sponsorship sales team for outreach activities. It will also support the broader Commercial Strategy function in strategic projects to drive incremental revenue for the club across the commercial unit.

Main responsibilities

  • Ensure that accurate data, detailed analysis, and concise conclusions are prevalent across all reporting.
  • Use relationships with any external agencies to meet shared reporting objectives and develop strategic capabilities / content of reporting.
  • Support the Sponsorship Sales team by providing results and conclusions that can be demonstrated to prospective partners of Chelsea FC.
  • Support the Commercial Strategy and Insights Manager by using data and insights to craft compelling business cases for prospective Chelsea FC partners.
  • Support on ad hoc data requests from the wider Commercial department.

Measures of performance

  • Ensure a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects and contacts.
  • Maintaining a high standard of reporting to current club partners.
  • Ensure that accurate data is supplied to the wider commercial team to help inform future processes.
  • Help to develop CFC commercial insights in-house capability and functionality.

Personal specification

  • Interest in working within the commercial world of sports
  • Ability to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient user of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
