Overview

Manpower are currently seeking an interim Communications Assistant, to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, to become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment. The position is based at Blackfriars on London's Victoria Embankment, just a short walk from Blackfriars tube. This is a full-time temporary role for 12 months requiring 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £26,800 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience. The role currently offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Working within the communications function for Home Care, support a wide range of both internal and external communications. Lead on tasks spanning both external and internal communications, including ongoing management and tracking of analytics to measure the effectiveness of communications.
  • Lead on the management of brand assets and associated requests.
  • External communications: support the development of owned content, deliver assigned stories in coordination with various teams and functions.
  • Lead the employer brand content series, collaborating with the Employer Brand team to create LinkedIn posts. Provide support on events, conduct research, and work with stakeholders to deliver successful external communications.
  • Internal communications: manage distribution lists, create internal communications using VivaEngage, and develop the monthly internal news round-up.
  • Support Home Care Live and other internal events (e.g., Consumer Insight events), including managing posters and TV screens around the building.
  • Provide ad-hoc support for the Community Engagement workstream.

Requirements

  • Communications degree or equivalent
  • Experience and knowledge of corporate / brand storytelling
  • Strong written communication skills – ability to write clearly for different audiences
  • Confident speaking skills and ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Digital literacy including all owned media platforms
  • Ability to research and analyse key data
  • Project coordination experience
