The organisation is values-led, people-focused, and committed to integrity, inclusion and excellence in everything it does.This newly created role will play a central role in delivering ILF Scotland's strategic mission: 'To enable disabled people to achieve their independent living outcomes by the dignified assessment of needs and the distribution of discretionary awards'.About the roleReporting directly to the Communications Lead, you will be responsible for managing and developing the Communications Team.As Communications Manager, you will manage the day-to-day communications activity and shape internal and external messaging.You will assist the Communications Lead with developing and delivering ILF Scotland's inclusive and values aligned communications and engagement strategy.You will mitigate reputational and political risk by supporting the Communications Lead in the delivery of quality strategies, workplans, products and materials ensuring exposure to a wide range of stakeholders.What we are looking forWe are looking for a Communications Manager with significant experience in a Communications management role, ideally within a Public Body, local authority or Third Sector organisation with a focus on delivery. You'll bring an excellent track record of managing a team of communications professionals, managing PR and marketing campaigns, media engagement, and crisis communications.It is essential that you have knowledge or understanding of accessibility standards. The successful candidate will be degree-qualified in a communications related discipline.
